Application

These rules and regulations shall apply to all contests (the “Contest”) unless stipulated otherwise.

Eligibility

The Contest is open to legal residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in the province in which they reside.

How to Enter

To enter, you need to fill up the contest form. There is no purchase necessary to enter the Contest. Upon being declared a winner, the winner need to pick up their gift card at ICCBC office or it will be mailed at the winner’s expense.

Odds of Winning

The odds of winning the Contest are dependant on the number of participants attempting to enter the Contest at any given time.

Liability

The winner acknowledges that the collection or use of the prize may be inherently dangerous and agrees to release and hold harmless the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada West (ICCC) for any and all damages he may incur through entering the Contest or through the collection or use of the prize. The winner also agrees to sign a standard release and waiver of liability prior to claiming the prize which will generally be provided. Each entrant and any potential or declared winner releases the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada West, their subsidiaries, respective divisions, their parent corporations, their advertising and promotional agencies, their shareholders, officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives (hereinafter the “Beneficiaries”) from any and all liability for any and all damage, loss or liability suffered as a result of or arising from the entrant’s participation in the contest or the acceptance or use of his/her prize.

Release of Privacy Rights

By entering this contest, each declared winner consents to the contest organizers, their representatives to use, at their sole discretion and if required, their name, photograph, likeness, testimonial related to the prize, place of residence that, without limit as for the period of use, in any media and on a worldwide scale, for publicity purposes or for any purpose that may be considered relevant.

By entering the Contest, all persons are deemed to have read and to have accepted these rules and regulations.

Handling of “Personal Information”

Your personal preferences  could also qualify as Personal Information if connected with other information that identifies you.

When you enter our contest, you are required to provide the following Personal Information: your name, address or province of residence, e-mail address, telephone number and, where an age eligibility requirement applies, your age range. This Personal Information is collected solely for the purpose of identifying and communicating with contest prizewinners.

Those who have chosen opt-in for one or more of our newsletters, their information will be saved in the corresponding Contact Management System so that we can use it for future communications related to their areas of interest such as updating them about events, giveaways, promotional offers and news of their interest.

Personal Information from non-winners who have not chosen to opt-in for any of our newsletter is destroyed, in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

Disclosure of Personal Information

We will not disclose your Personal Information unless required by law. We must provide your Personal Information in response to a search warrant or other legally valid enquiry or order, or to an investigative body in the case of a breach of an agreement or contravention of law, or as otherwise required by law. We use your Personal Information for internal purposes only. We do not sell, rent or trade in Personal Information. We may transfer information to third parties who need such Personal Information to provide services on behalf of ICCC. Any such service providers are contractually bound to maintain the confidentiality of such transferred Personal Information and are prohibited from using the Personal Information for any other purpose. Your consent to our use of Personal Information can be withdrawn at any time by following the directions at the end of this policy. We will obtain your consent before using your Personal Information for any purpose other than these above. Once your Personal Information is no longer required for the purposes above, it will be deleted.

We know how important privacy is to you. That is why we protect and safeguard your Personal Information. We protect our Websites from malicious attack using scanners, and we dispose of information no longer needed.
